WINNERS

This past weekend (2July06) the Louisana Meat Goat Association held a goat show in DeRidder, LA.  There where approximately  50 bucks in the show of which 3 where LAZY L Bucks.  The only three Lazy L bucks in the show where Lazy L Full Throttle & Lazy L Catagory 5 owned by Brandt Poole of Welsh, LA and Lazy L Nitro Powered Big Block owned by Keaton Mabini of Welsh, LA. The three bucks took three of  four buck championships offered at this show.

Abigail Kate Latham a Champion again!!!!!
Abbey won a large showmanship class in Crowley, LA this weekend.  She won the big silver belt buckle that she is wearing.

Showmanship has become the Latham's trade mark.  I do not see this ending any time soon. The big sister was not feeling well on this day, so the little sister took up the slack and won Showmanship!!!!!!!! 

 
As long as the Berry's keep sending winning photos of Lazy L Shana Cane I will keep posting them. I hope it takes over the entire website.  This young doe is a carbon copy of her multi-champion big sister, Lazy L Candy Cane.  If Shana Cane grows out like her older sister (and I think she will) watch out!!  We just repeated this same "flush breeding"(*Ennobled* Hilltop Hurricane x *Ennobled* LRB Maryka) in mid-October.

In the Open Show she won 2nd out of 18 in her class at 7 mo. old.

Shana Cane was purchased by the Berry's at the 2nd Annual Will Rogers Classic Production Sale This was her first time to be shown and she won 8th out of 34 in the 6-9 month old class while being the youngest goat in the class.

Less than two weeks after the Richmond's purchased this fine doe kid, she won Mr. Richmond's son that elusive Championship Belt Buckle
These two have grown accustomed to standing close together since they where born. The darker headed doe is Lazy L Wip'n Cane (Hilltop Hurricane *Ennobled* x LRB Maryka *Ennobled*). The other doe kid is Lazy L Honeysuckle (Lazy L Cane Cutter x Lazy L R40 "Lily").  These two where 3rd and 4th in the 0-3 month old class out of 88 at this years ABGA National Show.  The pictures shown above are from Goats Days International Fall Festival Boer Goat Show an ABGA sanctioned show held in Millington, TN , which was judged by Ms. Brenda Larner. Lazy L Wip'n Cane and Lazy L Honeysuckle where 1st and 2nd in a large 3-6 month old class and went on to win Champion Best Pair of Junior Does.

This doe kid was the only 05 flush kid that the partnership of Hilltop Ranch and Lazy L offered for sale prior to the 2nd Annual Will Rogers Production Sale.  We took her to the ABGA Nationals where she placed 5th out of 88.  In the same class we also had the 3rd, 4th, and 7th place finishers.  This little doe was known as Lazy L Lota P. (produced by Molly P. x Hilltop Hurricane *Ennobled*)at the Nationals but her name has been changed to Lazy L All That Jazz. She has earned two championships for her new owners under Mr. Anton Ward and Ms. Beverly Hadley.
